Strong. It is part of the Black range, which Philip Morris Japan labels strong menthol.
Aroma
Faint green fruit.
How the Japanese menthols compare
All the Japanese menthols we stock cost AED 200 a carton. This is how Philip Morris Japan describes each one:
| Japanese menthol | Cooling | Flavour note |
|---|---|---|
| TEREA Menthol | Deep | Peppermint and creamy notes |
| TEREA Black Menthol (this product) | Strong | Faint green fruit |
| TEREA Mint | Balanced | Mint with tobacco |
| TEREA Purple Menthol | Refreshing | Blueberry |
| TEREA Black Purple Menthol | Strong | Blueberry |
| TEREA Tropical Menthol | Refreshing | Mango |
| TEREA Yellow Menthol | Refreshing | Citrus and herbs |
| TEREA Bright Menthol | Refreshing | Pear |
| TEREA Fusion Menthol | Refreshing | Lavender and pear |
It sits at the cold end of the range. TEREA Menthol is a deep menthol with peppermint and creamy notes, and TEREA Black Purple Menthol keeps the strong cooling but adds blueberry. See every flavour on the TEREA Japan page.
Is Black Menthol right for you?
Choose Black Menthol if you want a strong cold hit with only a hint of fruit. For berry at the same strength, try TEREA Black Purple Menthol. For a softer, creamier menthol, try TEREA Menthol.
How to use TEREA Black Menthol
- Take a stick from the pack and insert it into your ILUMA or ILUMA i holder. ILUMA i models start heating automatically as soon as the stick goes in.
- Wait for the device to vibrate. That is the signal it is ready.
- Each stick lasts up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first. On ILUMA i, FlexPuff may add up to 4 extra puffs depending on how you puff.
- When the session ends, remove the stick and throw it away. SMARTCORE INDUCTION heats from inside the stick, so there is no blade to clean.
Which devices it works with
TEREA sticks work only with SMARTCORE INDUCTION devices: the IQOS ILUMA i range (i One, i Standard and i Prime) and the earlier IQOS ILUMA models. They do not fit IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS Originals or other blade devices, which use HEETS.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
